Together We Create Our Community

We are committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all members of our community, including students, parents, instructors, and staff. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for behavior and interactions to ensure a safe and productive experience for everyone.

Be A Good Citizen

      A. Respect for Others

    • Treat all individuals with kindness, respect, and dignity, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ability, or cultural background.
    • Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or harmful language, gestures, or actions.
    • Respect the opinions, ideas, and contributions of others, even when disagreeing.

      B. Academic Integrity

    • Submit only original work and give proper credit when referencing the work of others.
    • Avoid plagiarism, cheating, or any form of dishonesty in coursework or assessments.
    • Instructors must ensure that course materials comply with copyright and intellectual property laws.

     C. Responsible Use of Technology

    • Use LightStars Academy’s platform and tools responsibly and for educational purposes only.
    • Avoid sharing inappropriate, explicit, or harmful content.
    • Protect personal and others’ sensitive information, including account login credentials.

      D. Safety and Well-Being

    • Maintain a safe and supportive environment by refraining from bullying, harassment, or intimidation, online or offline.
    • Report any concerning behavior, threats, or violations of this Code of Conduct to the academy’s administration immediately.
    • Participate in courses with an attitude that supports mental wellness and personal growth.

       E. Professionalism in Communication

    • Use clear, respectful, and appropriate language in all communications, whether written or verbal.
    • Instructors and staff must engage with students and parents in a professional and supportive manner.
    • Students and parents should express concerns or grievances respectfully through the proper channels.

       F. Commitment to Learning

    • Engage actively and consistently in courses and assigned tasks.
    • Take responsibility for your personal growth and success.
    • Be open to feedback and work collaboratively with peers and instructors.

       G. Compliance with Policies

    • Adhere to all LightStars Academy policies, including attendance, grading, and payment requirements.
    • Respect intellectual property rights related to course content and materials.
    • Follow applicable laws and regulations governing online education and community engagement.

       H. Consequences for Violations

          Violations of the Code of Conduct will be addressed promptly and fairly. Consequences may include, but are not limited to:

    • A verbal or written warning.
    • Suspension or removal from a course or the platform.
    • Reporting of unlawful behavior to relevant authorities.

If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please contact LightStars Academy administration at Registar_LightStarsAcademy@aol.com. All reports will be handled confidentially and with sensitivity.
